About Team Rembrandts

Team Rembrandts is a community based FIRST Robotics Competition team in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. The team started competing in FRC during the 2013 season, since then they have grown rapidly and aim to be true ambassadors of FIRST. The team has 75 active members and is structured like an SME, enabling all of the members to actively explore their interests in different departments within the team.

Within the team, I'm active in the Business and Media department, primarily focusing on Media & Branding. I contribute to the production of new content, coming up with concepts, filming, and editing. In addition, I regularly take part in STEAM promotion events in the region, such as Hotspot Hightech Helmond, the Maker Days, and various events hosted by partner companies.

Everything about the team in one screen

Team Rembrandts is often present on events, ranging from open days of parters and schools to STEAM promotion events. With the long history of the team, there is plenty to tell about. Photos and videos are beneficial about explaining who we are, waht we do and what we stand for. But how do you make sure that visitors and passersby learn more about Team Rembrandts? And what if they're not interested in every detail? An interactive program can offer a solution. A touchscreen, designed in the team's visual style, can present everything about the team, our robots, goals and projects in a way that's engaging and easy to explore.

Concept designs

Based on the team's branding, the concept designs explore several possible ways to structure the interactive screens:

Start screen (lion)

The Lion Line, which represents the team, is positioned at the center of the screen. Surrounding it are six different topics, each connected to the lion with lines that symbolize various aspects of the team.

This section highlights four key aspects of the team: the robot, the team itself, outreach, and partners. Each has its own story and plays an equally important role within Team Rembrandts.

Robot timeline

A long history in FRC also means a long list of robots. This page showcases all the robots built, along with the awards they've received, presented in chronological order. The user can select a robot to be taken to its detailed page.

Robot detail

Each robot built by the team is unique. From the very beginning, every robot has its own story. This page showcases the subsystems of the robot, with buttons providing more detailed information. This screen can also be used as a starting page during competition events.
